Toyota KINTO ONE · Dealer staff training game

Prototype

A town-building game to train Toyota dealer staff

Build your own KINTO ONE Toyota Town is a training game we designed for Toyota dealer staff. Players build dealerships, garages and finance centres, and every lesson they finish grows their town.

The brief

Toyota issued a brief for a game that would teach dealer staff about KINTO ONE, its vehicle leasing offer. Our answer was a town-building game for staff phones, where every video, audio clip, reading and quiz grows your dealership, so learning feels like progress rather than homework.

What we did

  • A game loop: build a dealership, a garage and a finance centre, then upgrade them as leases come in
  • Lessons as videos, audio clips and PDF readings, with multiple-choice and picture quizzes
  • Roles for dealer principals, sales, finance and insurance, service and parts staff, so each person sees how their job affects the others
  • Sign-in with a Toyota ID and department, and head-office reports on answers and progress
  • A clickable Figma prototype that plays from sign-in to the final upgrade

The result

We delivered the design, the quote and the clickable prototype in August 2020. The game did not go past the prototype stage.
