A rescue rebuild for AmCham South Africa

From 2016 to 2022 we helped AmCham South Africa get found, go mobile, and move to a new website when a forced server upgrade broke the old one.

The brief

The American Chamber of Commerce in South Africa supports US companies doing business here. In 2016 none of its pages ranked on Google. In 2019 its host forced a server upgrade that broke the site.

What we did

  • An SEO audit, then a mobile-friendly site in 2016
  • Live chat on the website in 2018
  • A new WordPress site, live within weeks of the old one breaking in 2019
  • Every member login, calendar entry and forum moved across
  • A members-only area for Weekly Reviews and Parliamentary Reports

The result

The new site went live on 7 November 2019, with members' logins and content intact. AmCham moved to a membership platform in 2022, and we handed over a full copy of the site.

“Thanks so much for this – it looks great! Definitely much cleaner and user friendly.”
