Helping families find the right retirement home
Since 2016 we've built, hosted and grown Senior Service, the directory South African families use to find retirement villages, frail care and nursing homes.
The brief
Senior Service lists retirement villages, frail care centres and nursing homes across South Africa. Families search it, and facilities pay to be featured. By 2019 the old site was struggling with demand, and most visitors were on their phones.
What we did
- A full WordPress rebuild in 2019: faster search, built for phones, and a mini-website for every listing
- Search by province, town and type, plus searches for subsidised homes
- Monthly stats emails for every advertiser: views, contact clicks and enquiries
- Hosting, bot protection, analytics and a weekly traffic report
- A 2026 upgrade: an AI search assistant, new listing forms, a custom theme and WhatsApp enquiries
The result
Families find the site through Google every day, and facilities keep paying to be seen there. The 2026 upgrade adds smarter search and easier listings on top.
