An online shop for an electrical wholesaler, connected to Palladium
Key Electric sells cable, solar, back-up power, lighting and switchgear to electricians, contractors and installers. We built its online shop and connected it to Palladium, the accounting and stock system the business runs on.
The brief
Key Electric wanted its trade catalogue online without typing every product, price and stock level in twice. Palladium introduced us in August 2023: the shop had to take its products from Palladium, in a structure that buyers could browse by category and brand.
What we did
- A WooCommerce shop with product search, filters and brand menus for a catalogue of hundreds of products
- A Palladium connection that brings products, categories, prices and stock into the shop, matched by SKU
- A staging shop with its own Palladium database, used to set up clean categories and parent and child products before launch
- Syncs run on a server schedule, five times a day at launch
- Add to Quote next to Add to Cart, so trade buyers can ask for a quote

The result
The shop went live in June 2024. The cable range alone lists more than 600 products, and in-stock product pages offer Add to Quote next to Add to Cart.
